Top Line Bellcrank Linkage, Weber IDF Dual Carb, Type 4 #15-0220

This linkage is made for the Type 4 engine running Weber IDF, Dellorto DRLA, or EMPI HPMX series carburetors.  It is not a “universal” linkage!  It will work with most  standard Type 4 manifolds from EMPI or Redline. The linkage will work on either a “pancake” style original engine, or the bubble top “Porsche” 911 style cooling system.  The carb shaft operating levers are precision laser cut and zinc plated. The heavy duty steel mounting plate bolts to the block centerline near the bell housing. The throttle cable should not need to be relocated with this linkage.  The feel and return of the throttle action can be fine tuned by using either the supplied heavy duty spring, or a stock VW Solex spring (for a lighter feel.) A hardened dowel pin is securely pressed into place and welded to the mounting plate to give you a starting point for installation. Linkage rods are solid T6 aluminum. Since the ends are tapped for right and left hand threads, all that is required for adjustment is to twist the shaft to lengthen or shorten.  If you need something special like extra long operating rods for wider engines, please contact us for more information!
